I feel like I am sooo behind in life right now.
We gave just finished high school and soon starting uni so of course everything is changing.
Everyone one around me is moving into their own apartments, starting jobs and I’m here doing none of that.
Trust me, I want to but it’s complicated with my parents. I have a little sister but she is 13 years old and fully capable of taking care of herself. However my parents fear that she’s not ready and since they’re working all day they want me to stay with her. If I started working and then getting an apartment of my own, I fear it would complicate things and I would feel guilty. On top of that, these friends are younger than me and I feel like I’m not doing anything right.

Agree there are some issue of family that they think in other way , be with your family for sometimes coz after that you willingly or unwilling have to leave your home for work

They also have to understand your situation it’s not like they are going to feed you all your life. You have to talk to them and tell them that this is the time for you to experiment with your line of work if not then you pass your golden age.
I know but it is also scary at the same time. I know adulthood is scary but I can be prepared for it. It’s the talking the parents part. And if I am being completely honest, even though I trust my sister to handle herself I’m afraid of not being there when she needs me.
So i can only say you can apply for companies that offer work from home there are lots you can find according to your choices.

Do some work as your friends can belive that you and your sister are able to live with the changing environment.
