Thought

I don’t know how to fix myself?, how to accept myself?, how to accept the vices in me? I read Nietzsche, he said it is totally human to feel envy, it drives you to what you wanna become in yiur life. What if the envy is driving to the worse things? To showing off? To feeling jealous and bad because a friend of yours achieved something? Even if that is normal, how do i stop hating myself for all this? I wanna be at peace, where I compete with myself and can celebrate someone else’s achievement. Why can’t I just do that?! How do I do that?

I have read Candide by Voltaire, but doesn’t it also say that the world is flawed? It’s also a satire on optimism. About Stoicism, Nietzsche doesn’t have a positive view of it either, and I kinda agree with him to some extent. They talk about their philosophies but how to practice it is not being talked about.

Calm yourself! You are human and human does feel all the emotions. Please do not take them as flaws in you. Point is even if you are feeling envy for someone else’s achievement, you also have realisation to not feel envy but cherish and encourage about it. And I think that’s what matters. Be your own decision maker and decide wisely. You are the best. Cheers!!

How about you try to look at emotions (envy) differently, instead of thinking envy as driving force, think of it as reactionary or maybe even as pointers to what actually is the subject of your state. So in the case of feeling envious about your friends achievements…what is it exactly pointing to? Is it something or some quality that they possess or something that you lack or it could be anything…then ponder upon the credibility of that something and if it fits your life processes, instead of cornering the emotions and deciding it as bad…how about thinking emotions as learning devices and guides to understand ourselves and so that we have a clear perspective as to how to work on ourselves.

That makes sense. But you know, when the mind is messed up, it takes a lot of efforts to be this thoughtful and rationalize things. But you are right, I have to practice it, because noone else can sort it out for me.
