I am currently working in one of the big4s in taxation and have completed 1yr.
As this is just beginning of my career n I want to stick to one field only, I am confused which one to choose whether it should be taxation or finance.
My interest is in finance like I want to teach people to manage their finances properly n want to work in that field only. For this CFA is the best as per my research but I don’t have enough financial resources to pay the fees of that exams. So till that time I am thinking, if I will do SAP fico ( cost me around 50k) and then change job in the finance field, earn good salary, save it or take educational loan n then pursue CFA.
Or else I give GST practitioner exam n Accounting technician course ( both will cost me 10k+10k=20k) and after that switch to other company. But ATC also requires articleship after completing course.
Need something which has value, but by bearing minimum cost.
Do let me know if u have any suggestions.

Hey, i read somewhere that a lot of companies pay you if you clear cfa. Contact your hr and know about it. Or maybe you could switch to a company that will pay you back once you clear.

I looked up online. You can check the wall street school. They have a course in finance and it wont be expensive of you go for the online mode. Do check it out.

I would suggest ask ur company hr for policies regarding cfa fees reimbursement as they may have one. Or switch to a company which will provide u with it if ur current company doesn’t provide it.
