I am 16…and I am preparing for a competitive exam.Lately I have been feeling as if there is nothing to do even though I do have a huge pile of work.i feel as if I will never be happy in life…and I just want it to end…I want everything to end…but I know it’s not possible I have to go through this process to reach my goal…but why do I feel this way…I also feel extremely irritated by anyone who tries to talk to me…I don’t even know what should I call this…is this just a phase or am I overreacting

It’s just a phase. We all have gone through it. Exams can affect our brain , mood, attitude everything. It’s difficult to cope up, I understand. But don’t think that you’ll not be happy again. Once this phase is done, you will be happy and content. 🌸
Till then, just keep your mind calm, do things that make you happy, spend time with people who make you happy. And don’t forget , it’s just an exam. A single paper can’t decide your fate. Your future is much brighter. Just believe in yourself. You’ll shine , I know . ❤️
Thanks a lot for believing in me even if I am just a random stranger!!!

I’ve also been through same. I know you’ll outshine 🌸

I would recommend you to read this article (https://markmanson.net/question). The most important takeaway from the same is --If I ask you, “What do you want out of life?” and you say something like, “I want to be happy and have a great family and a job I like,” it’s so ubiquitous it doesn’t even mean anything. A more interesting question—a question that perhaps you’ve never considered before—is what pain do you want in your life? What are you willing to struggle for? Because that seems to be a greater determinant of how our lives turn out.
At this age of 16, in my opinion a more healthy way for you to tackle this cycle (of not wanting to do anything and getting irritated of not being able to extract the result out of your efforts) would be to start taking things and life a bit lightly, working towards the smallest goals you setup for yourself periodically, treating yourself for whatever you are able to do.
At last I would like to add upon that everyone is failing at something or other and all that we have in this journey are the people around us(this platform is a great example), so see the good in people who want to talk to you, make friends , be happy. All the Best for your exam. You are going to nail it. 💪💪
I couldn’t thank you enough for recommending me that article…that article was such an eye opener and it might end up being just the right thing that I needed right now… thanks for hearing me out and for ur best wishes!!
