How does one get a job when they’re socially awkward, introverted and have anxiety.
Are there any jobs suitable for such a person?
Maybe librarian. If thats something you’re interested in. Or writing, being a photographer or artist who sells online
Thanks. I’ve always wanted to be a librarian to be honest. I just hate how i always seem to limit myself.
In what ways do you limit yourself?
I never go outside my comfort zone. I guess it stems from childhood issues. And so, I hate any form of communication with strangers. I get awkward and panicky but after the interaction, I start hating myself because I’ll never be confident enough to keep q convo going.
As a really shy person myself i relate to what you said. Its hard to talk to people for me too. Over time ig i gained confidence and now i’ more comfortable with ppl and getting out of my comfort zone
I’m glad that’s happened for you. I doubt I’ll ever reach such a stage though. I don’t know. I just don’t think I can be happy with myself.
I used to think just like that. Its crazy, i can’t even explain what changed that. Probably that i had a friend who helped me become more positive for life. Also when i started to do research on mental health, i automatically took things over for myself and for others. I recommend you to do that too. Becoming more aware of myself was crucial
Yeah I have a friend too and she’s helped me a lot. I was definitely worse off a few years back. I guess I just gotta start loving myself. I know that once I do achieve that, I’ll be okay. But it is easier said then done.
Thats true, but realizing that is a good start. You will make it, it might be hard and sometimes there will be days where you just can’t stand yourself, but learning to love yourself will be a great journey. I wish you the best :)
Thank you so much! I really am grateful.
Open ur own business that’s what I am planning to
What sort of business would I go into? I enjoy reading books and writing but I’m not very artistic
Why @whyamihere
Maybe you can take up a job that doesn’t push you a lot but maybe a little bit.
Like you wouldn’t have to be making conversation everyday or talk to clients everyday but once in a while.
Like maybe a consultant or an accountant ( honestly idk your qualifications)
So you don’t limit yourself
And then maybe with time you’d be able to move up the ladder.
Or like you could work for a start up
I actually am studying to become an accountant in college/uni. But I just find the modules a little difficult and cos of covid, we can’t really have study groups and such which sucks
Why @whyamihere
There is a world of sites that might be able to help you and like there’s always YouTube and stuff.
I’m not familiar with a world of sites. What is that?
I’ve tried YouTube but once I get the hang of topics from YouTube, the exam questions are completely different from what I’ve learned ya know.
Why @whyamihere
So there are a lot of diff people and stuff on YouTube.
See I can’t exactly help you in this
But you might find someone in the comments also.
And you need to be prepared for whatever comes on your paper na
