You don’t. You learn to fight with it everyday for survival. You’ll have to draw in all of your strength for it. You’ll be strong enough that your depression won’t affect your daily life, but will be there as a memory.

You understand that 1 bad day doesn’t mean you’re slipping up again
You force yourself to get out of bed out of the house
You force yourself to socialise and realise it’s not a bad thing
You find things that make you happy
You meditate regularly.
You go for runs walks something
Get to the root cause. You probably won’t have the mental energy to actively start working on the root cause, so rev it up. Do small things that make you happy or relax you. Start being your own best friend (talking to yourself can sometimes help you develop that relationship with yourself). And once you have the mental energy, work on it.
