Hi…I just want to express my sadness. Earlier this month I had a makeup artist (MUA) to makeup my face (the last time I have hired one was 12 years ago on my wedding day). I rarely wear makeup so I was kind of nervous and excited at the same time. A few days later, I have found out the MUA has an instagram account. She had posted a lot of pictures on faces she has done. My picture was not in there. I was thinking like, maybe she just put up random pictures, maybe she had a lot of customers until she could not post all of them. Then around 2 weeks after that, my sister in law told me she had hired a MUA to do her convocation makeup. Turned out it was the same MUA. Out of curiosity, I checked the MUA instagram a few days after her convocation. Her picture was posted. I was really down after that, I have come to a conclusion that she only chooses “pretty” faces on her account. I guess I was the ugly one. I was so broken I did not even have the gut to message her why was my picture not posted.
If roses could talk, they would not boast of their beauty, because they know that they have always been beautiful.
Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder if she can’t find you beautiful then it’s her way of looking at you, I can say you are beautiful without seeing you because I know you have beautiful heart and beautiful soul. And for many people in your life you must be the most beautiful person. Just ignore such person who makes you feel bad they don’t deserve your attention you are more precious and beautiful for that

Couldn’t have said it any better such a heart warming text and totally agree with every point and aspect you mentioned in the text and even if she didn’t post you there will be for sure so many other amazing opportunities where you can have the change to be postet and it’s her lost when she didn’t recognize your inner and outer beauty
Thank you for the kind words. I guess what made it even worse was my sister in law was showing me her handphone with her picture posted on the MUA instagram account. I know she was not saying anything mean like those oh-you-mean-your-picture-was-not-posted? kind of words, but still her showing her picture kind of offended me a bit. Because I have to awkwardly responded to her, since she knew that my picture was not posted.
This is life. And life is unfair.
Accept that you are not that beautiful and embrace. (But never call yourself ugly). So that in future you won’t have such expectations. Hence you won’t get sad.
People will say you are beautiful inside and all. But don’t let them fool you.
Take it in a opposite way MUAs generally posts ugly pics to show the transformation after makeup and u were beautiful even before makeup so she didn’t post your picture
