I accepted an offer letter where salary is 20k, now I received another offer for 25k.i have the accepted the previous offer and joining is within 2 days. I am confused.
I messaged hr of first company, regarding if she can negotiate on terms of salary, and told her about that offer, she said u can work there no problem. It seemed to be very rude, I didn’t knew wht to reply.
So I talked to HR of 2nd company and said I will join there. Don’t know if it is a right decision.
Actually it is an staffing company. The role is of recruiter.
Another is software company and role us of admin.
Both the roles seems to be good. I had made my mind to work in the company offering 20k.then HR of 2nd company called me and offered me with 25k.

The hr of first company asked me initially, if u will be joining only then I will issue LOI, otherwise not.
So at that time I was not having 2nd option, so I said yes. But now how can I withdraw.

Just say to your first company that I currently hold a better offer letter , so would like to have a raise in that package. Thats it, if they don’t then ignore it and join the second.
If the first company raises the package then counter offer in second company saying you have another offer letter with better package and you would like to join this company but expecting a better package
See that’s how negotiation works, learn this at this point itself, it would be helpful in future. Trust me, am a 3+ yrs working professioal

Don’t worry, you will have it in your hand and you have the option to check with the admin team at any time

You know people in spite of joining a company search for another better job for the first 30-40 days
If they get one they switch
You could perhaps be smart and wise, and learn to play politically
