I have two questions which have been lingering in my mind
1. How to take in criticism?
I find it difficult to take in criticism given by others. I jump into conclusions where I end up hating rather dislike the person who delivered the critics. I don’t know if it is because of the lack of self esteem or refusal to accept negativity. How do you guys deal with criticism thrown at you?
2. How do you deal with toxic grandparents at home?
My grandmother can’t stop herself from interfering in someone else’s life. She ends up talking behind one’s back and degrades them if they did anything out of the ordinary. I find it very difficult to live with much negativity around me. I am trying my best not to hate her out of respect but it gets out of hand at times.

Criticism is not always negative there also exists constructive criticism. What you can do is firstly listen calmly to what other person has to say, analyse if the criticism is actually something that actually needs to be improved or not. If it does then take it with a smile. I know it not easy to take criticism but it can actually be beneficial.
If you have to live with your grandmother, then I don’t think there is a solution for it except for ignoring her. Whenever she does that, you can go to your room, put some music on and indulge into something that makes you happy.

Thank you for responding to the post. As much as criticism puts me in a difficult position, I will try my best to take in constructive feedback and dodge destructive criticism.
Yes, ignoring her will work to an extend. I don’t think I can do anything beyond that.
