Here is the thing. I am preparing for a law entrance exam. My mock scores are good, they can be improved. But they have gone stagnant. I am stuck on the 88-90 threshold. Have no clue how to break this wall.
How to improve maths and GK?? I can work on gk but I am really afraid of maths, I can maximum attempt 5 of them in a mock.
There is a guy who is a friend of mine, initially, he used to score less than me but lately, he has started scoring more than me and has started talking to me with much pride, ego and mocking tone… I feel so enraged and self-hatred that I can’t score more than this guy. I feel de-motivated because of this. What should I do?? How shall I increase my marks?? How should I deal with this guy along with my constant fear of failure?? How shall I cope with this fear of maths??

I have failed earlier before, I can’t afford to fail again. I would lose myself and don’t know what shall I do with myself. My life would end… I don’t know where to go, what to do…

Heyy!

As a law student myself who has gone through this entrance exam preparation stage, I can totally understand your concern. My very 1st advice to you will be to stop comparing your progress with that of others. Do not think that his speed or his success will make you any less successful. I think your entire focus should be on how you become better at maths than what you were before and not on becoming better than others. You will lose your energy in this competition that you think you have with others. You shouldn’t worry about whether you will score more than anyone, all your focus should be on scoring more than what you did in the past. All this competition that you yourself have created is making you feel demotivated. If you feel that the person who you have referred to above has become arrogant, just simply stop paying heed to them. Mind your own business. Stop being around them, maintain your distance. A normal hey is alright but you have to make sure that they don’t put you in a situation where you end up doubting yourself.

Now about maths, there are a lot of tricks that one has to use in solving the questions and you must have been taught the same in your coaching if you were taking one. I suggest you make notes of these tricks, analyze how these tricks have been used in all types of questions. Read the question carefully and take your time in finding out which is the most appropriate trick that will give you the correct answer. The most important way to improve your command over these questions is by practicing regularly. Every day, do a bit of maths, solve some questions. Solve previous years. Solve them regularly and you will definitely see improvision. Don’t lose hope. Just keep working hard and your hard work will definitely pay you off.

All the best!
Take Care.😊

Can I improve and cover-up that in 1 month?? Do I have some hope??

Tanya Singh @dbtanya01

You can if you work hard. Just don’t lose hope and keep all your focus on improving.
