Helloo!!
I really need your help. I’m taking leave for half a day for some personal work which I dint purposely chose this day but I got an appointment today n I informed about this last month itself in office. But now workload is more and I’m blamed for taking leave even though there is work. I’m so frustrated about this and I really don’t understand is it really my fault or not. Even after working more than what was mentioned during interview, I’m blamed for not doing work. I feel like quitting this job. I know work-life is same everywhere but I really can’t take this… It’s injustice to my hard-work.

@ire

do what you feel is best for you. know that it is not your fault, and be prepared to defend yourself if ppl do blame you, you are considerate but you’re just in an issue rn. you can always quit if it is too much!

Hi buddy.
It is very common that while appointing the employer don’t mention each work that they are expecting you to do. As you join you eventually understand what all you are expected to manage and work for.
Remember, The work is infinite that they can ask you to do but when u start asking for salary hike as per job/ responsibilities/ overtime they don’t do it. Because they want to use you as human resource to the maximum. Thus they tell u about work load.
Now, you mentioned about your half day issue. Its completely illogical for your employer to say not for it, when u informed it a month before. Since u have worked so hard they should understand and give it to you.
Last i would say, relationship with employee and employer go equally. Like if u do most for them then they should also think to make sure employee is okay…

go with your heart,
do whatever you feel is RIGHT and PRACTICAL
leaving job is neither practical nor right,
ask one more time give proof of your work and if still you are unable to go try to shift your appointment as you yourself said that there is a lot of workload in the office.
hope you understand
