Had my first therapy session today…I am overweight owing to thyroid and get anxiety in different forms off and on. Living alone in Bombay…life is hard…(don’t have a great family bond, sad childhood experiences)… Just feel lonely you know… work is great but personal life and health not so much… how do you guys take steps to improve your health and be more social? Pls suggest whatever helps… I want to try to change my current state!

small things in life matter a lot be it walking, smiling, making your bed having a short call with a friend or anything.
Also do share your experience with therapy and keep smiling

It’s so sad that you’re having such a hard time today. Fortunately, even though the pain you’re suffering today feels unique to you, it actually isn’t-

“What has been is what will be,
And what has been done will be done again;
There is nothing new under the sun.” -Ecclesiastes 1:9

This means that if others in similar or even worse conditions found the help they needed to take control of their lives so can you. Question is, what are you willing to give up to become the very best version of yourself?
