Just got to know that the girl whom I was supposed to engaged has already an affair…
She told me tonight…3 weeks before engagement day.
I told my family and all…But I don’t know what to do…We make this engagement things and all a bit hype in india…So I don’t know what to do or say now…

Totally agree with you…Even I was not that emotionally connected with this engagement…It was an arranged marriage. If she could have said this to me earlier, it would have been much easier for both of us…But she didn’t had to do things like this which is making me angrier.

But see maybe she too had her own pressures…

I just typed in a big like really big essay about ur problem but it kind of disappeared when i switched apps…so big story short…i am exactly in that girls sitaution now…my parents are planning to have a little family gathering on the last of February to seal the deal on my marriage with my cousin…i have a boyfriend too who i am dating since clg…and this is happening as soon as i finished my graduation…i dont have interest in marrying and wanna tell this to my parents…and i am not in love with my boyfriend anymore coz he did some horrible things to me despite the fact that he loves me a lot…but on both the ends they are threatening me with psychological warfare that if i go against them they will die…now i am not able to be honest abt what i feel to literally no one on this planet…its paining a lot so much that i wanna die…coz if i say the truth everyone will be hurt …i am really glad that the girl in ur story did it finally…imagine how ur life would be if your wife has zero interest in sharing her life with u…yeah i accept that it is a embarrassment to u but it is much better than a lifetime full of misery. So if u could just pray that u r saved from it and imagine how much pain and courage she took upon herself to do this…people may say they should have done it or said it in the beginning …but its difficult when everybody is threatening u indirectly to listen to them…she finally gathered the lasts shreds of dignity to save her life…and in the process saved urs too…in my case i haven’t done anything yet…and i honestly dono what will happen if i will come out of it alive.
But dude dont worry u will get someone who is in love with u for who you are…and u will have a beautiful life than u ever imagined.
