Feeling nervouss!!
It’s my first time tutoring kids in their houses. I’m not a strict person at all…nor my voice is high but I’m good with kids… Any tips for how to make them talk , open up ??

I’m an older sister of 3 children and I also have many cousins so I babysit them all the time. From my own experience, if you want the child to open up, you need to be like them. Observe what they love and what the don’t. If you want them to answer your question, always shower them with encouragement not compliment nor insults. For example, if it was right tell them simple things like good job, keep this spirit or sth. If it was wrong, don’t be mad just tell them the correct answer and tell them it’s a good shot and it’s okay to be wrong. Don’t compare them to each other, they don’t like it. Try to act like a kid too, don’t be exaggerate tho. Just like be playful. Be imaginative with the task you give to them. Children hate it when you said ‘no’ and they often just do it even if you told them not to so instead scare them with sth like if they do it, they’ll hurt themselves and need surgery or it will cause death. To put it simply, make some myth. Reward them candies but don’t do it too often, it’s bad for their teeth. There’s a lot more actually. You can ask more specifically if you want to. I’m willing to answer it.
