Feeling Angry Sad Confused Pity

I have not had contact with someone who hurt me for over a year. Not sure why I feel pity for this person who has hurt me several times before and betrayed my trust. Maybe because this person is old now and lives alone.
Feeling confused and if it was right sometimes for me to have cut this person out of my life? Any thoughts?

i suppose it depends on how this person hurt you, sometimes it’s best to cut people out. But sometimes you need to talk things through.

It depends on you, it depends on where you want to go with this chapter- whether you want to fill more pages or end it for good. But i will say that sometimes it is better to have a closure, for both the parties involved.
