Day 2 after breaking up. He texted me today saying “I’m still here” I’m not wanting to have any sort of relationship with him if we are not together. I feel like he has lost interest more so than I have even though it was a mutual decision. However, he acts like he still wants me in his life. I don’t think I can accept that.

How did your relationship start? I’ve been in a relationship where intimacy and emotional issues pretty much broke the relationship. We win our separate ways, but I have always been tempted at contacting her. Trying to patch things up so that we can go back to just hanging out, those were fun times.

If you really don’t want him in your life, ignore him. It only makes it worse if you endure him.

I’m leaning towards just doing this.
Maybe let him know you don’t want any contact with him at all. Tell him you mean well, but you really do want to move on.
If he doesn’t respect that, you’ll realize he was never worth keeping.
