I'm so tired. I've never been in love, and nobody ever loved me romantically. The thing is, I was bullied mercilessly in high school for being ugly and loving to study. I was such an outcast no one ever wanted to treat me well, not to mention fall in love with me - It made me colder, sadder inside, but stronger. I have friends and a good life now that I work hard to maintain, but I can't help feeling lonely sometimes. The dates I go to seem so forced. I just want to experience the organic development of romantic feelings, the mutual interest and the excitement of it all. But all that is offered to me is shallow sexual attraction or bleak "oh ok your ok I guess":
