Can someone please tell me bout bipolar disorder n how to cope up with it
Ig one of my parent has it
They had depression first n now they are acting like a mad person breaking things saying hurtfull things acting weird making weird theories in their head .
I really don’t know what to do but there is surely a disorder n it looks like it’s bpd.
What step am I supposed to take. How are we supposed to act around them. How can I reach out for helpπŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»

Consult a psychiatrist. That should be your first step. Bipolar Disorders have different variants and being a doctor, I can say that I need to see the patient first to make a final diagnosis. So, first step should be consulting a psychiatrist.

I have seen a lot of bipolar disorder patients during my psychiatry rotations and I have seen them getting better but for that you have to make a correct diagnosis. Don’t worry, there are various medications which can help them along with behavioral therapies.

They are very egoistic person n they won’t go to a psychiatrist themselves. How should I convience them?

Hii…I’m in a similar position as you. Suggesting therapy would likely end up with them being offended. Try suggesting meditation though be subtle abt it. Hope you and your parent overcome this problem and reach out to a better place.
