As a psychologist, something that I suggest to my clients & personally practice as well when feeling restless, overwhelmed, or anxious is the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise. It’s a technique I frequently recommend for it’s simplicity and effectiveness in bringing immediate relief.

To start, sit or stand in a comfortable position. Then, take a moment to notice:

- 5 things you can see around you.
- 4 things you can touch or feel.
- 3 things you can hear.
- 2 things you can smell.
- 1 thing you can taste.

This exercise helps anchor your awareness in the present moment, providing a sense of calm. Have you tried this before ? If not, how do you manage/cope?
