Any tips on how to get over a break up without having a rebound? I want to move on and be single for a while. I’m always jumping to a next guy after a break up but this time I want to heal properly and learn how to be on my own. I am falling apart, can’t stop crying, my chest hurts and I really don’t know what to do or how to cope. We go to the same uni and in the same class, how will I cope especially seeing him with other people. The break up was my fault, I was a terrible girlfriend but I thought I was doing most things right. Sigh. Help.

Getting into another relationship is a shortcut to move very easily but it’s risky as you don’t know whether the new partner will be good or bad. If Good then it’s better for you , if bad then it will be worst for you as it give another ache

One should never get too attached with anyone, they end up harming themselves. If you ended things with him then accept it that it was what I wanted.
This might help you.
Self acceptance is the foremost foundation towards detachment. It won’t happen in a day but it will happen. Wish you luck

He was the one that really ended it and I just accept it because I didn’t want to make him unhappy anymore but a part of me still wish he would give me a chance to be better but I guess it’s too late. I need to detach myself and move on. Thank you for the advice <3

I think a FWB would be a better option than a rebound. An FWB which is supportive, loves to listen and share, a bestfriend, a person who you can lean on and also kiss without the fear of being attached is the best. Wat do you think?

Just let go, let things happen to you, don’t try. Don’t do anything, go with the flow, do things by not doing them, work by not working on yourself. Read some philosophy and you’ll get some good perspective to have about the whole situation that you’re going through
