Am I the only one who wants to listen to sad songs, old gazal and cry for no reason? Though I am not in any relationship, my life is going with the flow with all normal ups and downs, I am happy. But I really wish to cry once for no reason. I want to cry my heart out but no one can actually hear me do so.

Itβs okay to cry sometimes without reason. Just let your emotions flow πΈ

Tryinβ that every single day π

Dear avi,
Iβm going to start by saying this: I donβt fit the sterotype of a white girl in America. I listen to rock music (I made a post on how it was affecting me), specifically Queen and this band called My Chemical Romance. Most bands and singers have at least one love song on their back, and these arenβt any exception. I donβt listen to Queen all the time, but MCR is daily. I also listen to Melanie Martinez. Her new album isnβt too good, but I think Crybaby is amazing.
Those singers have deep, hardhitting music. And itβs catchy. So you have no reason to feel shame for that.
Crying is just a natrual part of life. Certain songs make me cry, of course. But I know itβs a sign of weakness. I only cry around people Iβve known for at least a year. And those that I trust.
Often times, people I know will bring me down so low I think Iβm in the Underworld. What I do then is write in a free verse poem style. Kind of like poetry. I always do it before bed.
Best of luck. βπΎ

Thanks @johnthejohn! Sometimes, I write too, but most of those lines are in Hindi language. Maybe sometime we can listen to each otherβs words :)
Ana Banach @johnthejohn
Hindi is fine! I write in English, itβs the only language Iβm fluent in, but thatβs okay! Iβd be honored to share some!

Hi!
I too feel the same way man. Itβs not important that something has happened thatβs why we like listening to these type of songs. We do get hit by some songs and want to cry our heart out for absolutely no reason but but there is always something maybe the tiniest thing that rushes through our mind for which we feel this way. And itβs completely okay.
It feels great after crying out, right? I atleast feel great!
Avi @avi
Hi @st1199, I agree with you. But it happens when you are unable to do so. I try really hard to put all my emotions out, but often fail to. Maybe one day, one day Iβll be able toβ¦
Simran @st1199
Just talk to somebody then, maybe they will be able to help you and understand you much better than me.
Itβs literally me but Iβm not happy
Avi @avi
Hey! Why so? Please shareβ¦
Idk I just donβt feel good and this lockdown has made it worse.
Ana Banach @johnthejohn
Lockdown has crumbled my soul into a piece of despair and sadness. It then tossed it in a trash can. In other words, lockdown is equivalent to a thousand porta - potties on fire.
I can totally relate to you. It just made me hate people around me.
Ana Banach @johnthejohn
Same. Itβs just evil.
How do you make something right when you have made it so wrong? You can never go back?
Ana Banach @johnthejohn
Whatβs going on? I try to change it. Or drop it. Because Iβm weak. But I donβt know how to give you guidance until you post something a little less vague.
Itβs dialogue from one of my favorite series but it hits hard.
Ana Banach @johnthejohn
Oh. Itβs pretty hard hitting, yeah.
Yes Iβd like to suggest you this series bojack horseman
Ana Banach @johnthejohn
I looked it up and watched a few episodes. Iβm hooked.
Glad you liked it. Itβs so humorous as well as depressing.
