A week back I broke up with my boyfriend. I did the same last year and the consequences were not good. I suffered from clinical depression for months, then I went back to him thinking that I can’t be normal without him. This time it’s the same. It’s only a week and a day before yesterday I went to a store and passed out. Then I have been seeing dreams of him every freaking night. If I sleep for half an hour also I end up dreaming about him only. I think it’s affecting my health very much. But I can’t go back to him this time. We were not in a practical relationship that’s why I ended it. Can you please tell me how can I avoid dreaming and how can I get out of this scenario? This whole thing is disturbing my family also as i am not well they are also tensed. What can I do?

First of all stop thinking about him and that you can’t be normal without him. The more you think about him the more he’ll be in your mind. Keep your mind extremely busy or loaded with work that you have no time to bring his thoughts. Ik it will be hard but if you wanna end those dreams stop thinking about it. We usually dream about things that are continuously in our mind so if you remove him from your mind slowly slowly the dreams will also reduce. Our thought process is connected that way. It will take time like weeks or so but the more you keep him away from your thoughts and mind that fast you’ll come out of it.

This is called withdrawal symptoms. You try to get busy or find new people. Slowly your mind will rewired and you won’t be this much depressed. And one day you won’t even remember that person.
