Same date. But two things. Polar opposite things. This one is for my Maa.
She has suffererd many things in her life. Like getting married to a person whom she never met until the engagement day. A mother in law who made her life a living hell. A husband who never talks to her or cares about her wellbeing. And two kids who don’t like participating in the fights anymore.
Maa always told my sister and I to get a job as fast as we could and run away from this hellhole, so that she can also cut ties with this place. She was so tired with this lifestyle, that she actually tried to commit suicide right im front of our eyes. And my father didn’t try to get her down and instead started filming the attempt. It completely broke her that her husband wasn’t even trying to make her stop from giving away her life.
On 7th February, 2020, there happened a fight. It resulted with my father calling names about my grandmother ( Maa’s mother), Maa and my sister. I asked him to apologize and he did not. And it’s been a whole year since I spoke to him. Not even the important things and stuff.
He always calls my grandmother names and if my mother speaks up, he will tell her off by saying that she should ‘sleep’ with her lover. Don’t think she has one or anything okay?!
It’s emotionally breaking her and she cannot speak up. I try to speak on her behalf, but being the youngest in the whole family has its downsides. Everybody shuts me up and start criticizing me, including my mother.
It hurts me whenever she cries and says that we should get a job and run away as soon as we can.
